In order to promote new artistes and new groups and to provide adequate jobs and employment for these groups and artistes, it was necessary to establish a booking agency to specifically address this issue. Salahpan Booking Agency was designed to concentrate on all Caribbean entertainment, including, Calypso, Reggae, Latin, and Steelpan music, Caribbean decor, and Caribbean catering.The following parties can be rented for all your Caribbean needs:

Hameed Shaaq (aka The Pan Piper of Toronto), is a native of Trinidad and Tobago, the birthplace of steelpan music. He came to Canada as a Steelpan musician in 1975. He has been associated with steelband movement for over 35 years. Through his innovative abilities, he continues to impart his extensive knowledge of Steelpan to a new generation.

Salah & Family Steelpan Workshop started with three of Salah's children (Rachel, Walid, and Ishmawiyl) his nephew (Clifton) and himself. Newer members joined later, including his daughters (Miriyam, Fatima, and Zaynab) and vocalist Adiyla, wife and mother. This family ensemble uses all steeldrum instruments, from Bass to Soprano. A unique group with a unique sound playing a variety of musical styles including Classical, Jazz, Reggae, Pop, Latin, Gospel, Soca, and Calypso. Soloists to any other combination available.
Since 1988, Salah & Family Steelpan Workshop has been busy making television appearances, radio shows, performing at school functions, private functions, shopping malls, campuses, cultural activities and concerts. Concert venues and appearances have included the Spectrum, Pollack Hall, Loyola Concert Hall, in accompaniment to the Jubilation choir; a presentation of both American and Canadian Anthems at the Olympic Stadium prior to an Expo’s Baseball game; the Molson Centre during a Hockey game; and several days at the Montreal International Jazz Festival.
In 1995, The Salah & Family Steelpan Workshop released its debut compact disk and cassette entitled "Good Feelings"; a mixture of Classical, Jazz, Reggae, Pop, Latin, and Soca-Calypso. The material includes some items enhanced with a blend of vocals and with some original compositions and arrangements by Salah.

Trinidad Playboys Steelband is the veteran group, having been around since Montreal's Expo'67. They have been entertaining and providing consistent good steelband music to Montrealers and other Quebecers all over the province for the last 35 years. Led by Winston "Skippy" Maingot, they have always maintained their status as a crowd pleaser. The band is available for all occasions.
Calypso Soloists
Cultural Farmer is available for all occasions as a soloist (with back-up music) or with an available group; an entertaining character.
Love Man Kent is available for all occasions as a soloist (with back-up music) or with an available band.
Calypso Bands
Professional musicians exploding on the Montreal scene, with a brand of calypso style music that covers the different islands of the Caribbean. The group is always available for all types of engagements. The band is made up of bass, guitar, keyboards, drums and vocals.
Glen Clarke, a veteran percussionist with a lifetime of international musical experiences. Having traveled to all parts of the world, Glen settled into the Montreal scene delighting audiences with his skilled experienced playing. Also teaches his art form of percussion. Glen is available as a single artist or as part of any type musical ensemble. His group "The Exotics" is available for all type of functions.
Jab Jab, has been the most prolific calypso band in the city for the last decade. They have always provided back-up music for all professional artists that pass through Montreal. They have established themselves as the premier calypso band in the city. A couple of CDs are accredited to them as well as a televised video. The group is led by Ross Whiteman, Andre Whiteman and Wayne Stoute. The trio is the tightest calypso group, but adds other players to the group accordingly. Always available for any type of occasion.
Raymond Harewood, accomplished musician and founder of the group, has been entertaining Montrealers for much more than a decade. After having performed with many other groups in the city. Raymond has made a lot of inroads in establishing his group Xzotyka, a rich blend of Caribbean style music. The band is available for private and public functions.
